Seibu Lions interested in 29-year-old Masashi Sajikihara

The Seibu Lions are looking into 29-year-old RHP Masashi Sajikihara.
Sajikihara had surgery on his left knee (had it cleaned out) in October 2010 and returned to the Hanshin Tigers as an Ikusei player in 2011. He managed to make it back to 70-man roster in July, but never quite made it to the active roster and was informed last month that his contract wasn't going to be extended into the 2012 season. Sajikihara plans on attending the 12-team tryouts on the 24th.

Hanshin Tigers re-sign Kuroda and Sajikihara to Ikusei contracts

The Hanshin Tigers announced today that they re-signed Yusuke Kuroda and Masashi Sajikihara to Ikusei contracts today.
The Tigers also renewed contracts with Ryuji Wakatake and Ikusei players Shintaro Tanaka and Yutaka Tamaki.

The Hanshin Tigers announced on Thursday that Masashi Sajikihara was released from a hospital earlier in the day after undergoing surgery to clean out his left knee on the 19th. They also said Sajikihara will begin his rehab at Naruohama later today.
Sajikihara was taken off the active roster on 9/11 due to knee pains.
