Japan-USA University Baseball Championship to take place in July

The Japan Student Baseball Association and the All Japan University Baseball Federation held board of directors meetings today and decided on dates for three tournaments next season.
Japan-USA University Baseball Championship - five games beginning on July 6
All Japan University Championship - six days beginning on June 11
Meiji Jingu Tournament - five days beginning on November 16
The manager for the national university team will likely be decided to a manager meeting on January 1.

2012 Meiji Jingu Tournament to begin on November 10

The Japan Student Baseball Association (JSBA) announced on Wednesday that the 2012 Meiji Jingu Tournament will take place over a five day period that begin on November 10. Opening ceremonies will take place on November 9.
The JSBA also made revisions to the Student Baseball Charter on Wednesday that include allowing professional players to the option to workout at schools they did not graduate from; and allowing former professional baseball players to count their employment experiences at junior high schools towards the academic coaching license requirements.
The changes will come into effect on March 1.
