Nippon TV announced on Tuesday that they added former Yomiuri Giant Takayuki Shimizu, former Chunichi Dragon Kazuyoshi Tatsunami, and former Hanshin Tiger Norihiro Akahoshi to their broadcast booth.

Nippon TV (NTV) announced that they will be broadcasting 22 Giants' games this year (no change from last year).  Of the 22 games, only 8 will be night games.

According to NTV, TV ratings for teens (male and female ages 13-19) in 2009 increased over the numbers posted the previous year.  TV ratings for night games, on a whole, continued to drop, averaging about 10%.

In addition to the terrestrial TV game schedule, NTV also announced that BS Nippon TV will be broadcasting 56 games (up 4 games) and CS Nippon TV G+ will be broadcasting 72 games (no change).
