Nippon Ham Fighters

  • On June 13, Sho Nakata became the fourth player in franchise history to reach twenty home runs before anyone else in either league. The other three: Yasuhiro Fukami in 1952, Katsuo Osugi in 1969, and Tony Solaita in 1980. He also became the eighth player in franchise history (fourth Japanese player in franchise history) to record twenty or more home runs in four or more consecutive seasons.
