Nippon Ham Fighters

  • The Fighters extended their winning streak to seven games on April 8. Their last seven-game winning streak came in 2009 when they won nine between July 15 and 31. Orix Buffaloes

  • The Buffaloes held an emergency meeting that involved Hiroshi Moriwaki (Ichi-gun manager), Junichi Fukura (head coach), Tetsuji Okamoto (Ni-gun manager), and team official Ryuzo Setoyama at Hotto Motto Kobe on April 6.   • Kimiyasu Kudo apologized to umpires on April 4 for his outburst and use of language during a rally in the 8th inning on April 3. Kudo was frustrated when umpires made a split call on a diving catch earlier in the inning that resulted in Dae-Ho Lee grounding out to center. Source: Sponichi 4/5/2015

  • Yuki Saito was sent back to Ni-gun to continue his adjustments. He started a game against Lotte at QVC Marine on April 2 and gave up three runs on eight hits over 4.1 innings of work. Source: Sports Hochi 4/3/2015
