  • Francisco Caraballo could earn about twenty million yen in performance bonuses based on how he is playing right now. Source: Sanspo 5/12/2015

Nippon Ham Fighters

  • Victor Garate will be shifted to the bullpen for the time being. Source: Nikkan Sports 5/12/2015
  • Hideki Kuriyama is still concerned about Shohei Otani's condition and wants to maintain some flexibility when it comes to his pitching schedule. He does not want to be too lenient, and will most likely switch Otani's starts back and forth from six to seven days of rest, depending on condition. That could give the pitcher a shot at pitching and hitting in the same game during the Inter-league Hanshin series that begins on June 5 at Koshien. Sac bunts will be worth 5,000 yen, singles 10,000 yen, doubles 30,000 yen, home runs 100,000 yen, and 10,000 yen for each RBI. Source: Daily Sports 5/12/2015
