1st round draft pick Yuki Matsui might end up staying behind in Kumejima to continue his workouts at Ni-gun camp when the team leaves for Okinawa.  The move would not be considered a "demotion" because the plan was always for him to start things out at Ni-gun.  However, if he makes progress with his balance issues and shows more consistency, he could be called up in March during the exhibition game season.
